The Supervisory Analyst (SA)/Editor is part of a global team that reviews, edits, and approves equity and fixed income research and strategy content under deadline pressure. Reports are produced by analysts and strategists in LatAm, New York, and Europe. The SA/Editor should have a firm command of all relevant regulatory rules and requirements, a strong grasp of language and style, and experience with writers of English as a second language We are looking for a self-starter who is also a team player possessing excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate must manage relationships with fellow editors/SAs, analyst teams, global editorial counterparts, compliance officers, and others in the organization. Responsibilities: Edit both quick turnaround and long-shelf-life equity and fixed income research/strategy products (notes, reports, presentations, emails, etc.) for content quality and adherence to relevant regulations and business standards Provide regulatory approval for research/strategy products to be distributed to investors. Edit and produce reports from point of submission to point of distribution as well as work on occasional projects outside of editorial production. Engage with analysts to improve the quality of published research. Record details of workflow, production, material changes and management approvals. Help familiarize analyst research team members with overall editorial/compliance procedures, writing, templates and desktop publishing product-related systems. Experience: 3-5+ years as a Supervisory Analyst/Financial Editor (skills to be demonstrated through a standard editing test), or equivalent experience in Finance. Strong editing skills, particularly working on material from authors with English as a second language. Certification Requirements: Active Series 16 license or other FINRA licenses that would allow candidate to approve research. Ability to work under tight deadline pressure while maintaining close attention to detail. Knowledge of accounting terms and calculations. Ability to communicate effectively by email, phone, and in person with analyst teams. Prior experience and proficiency working in a Windows-based PC environment, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook a plus. Flexibility to work outside of regular hours if needed. Familiarity with fixed income products a plus. Active Series 16 license or other FINRA licenses that would allow candidate to approve research. Availability to work 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm (EST), Sunday-Thursday. The ability to see the big pictureto look at the structure, arguments and balance of a report and suggest practical ideas for enhancing its effectiveness. Proven time management and organizational skills; capable of prioritizing and juggling several projects at the same time while working under tight daily deadline pressure. The ability to work with teams as well as independently. The flexibility required to work on a small team.
