The Lockheed Martin Systems Security Engineering organization in Syracuse, NY is seeking a talented Electrical/Computer or Systems Engineer with experience developing Anti-Tamper (AT) solutions. The engineer will support the design, development, implementation and maintenance of security solutions for protection of critical military technology and data.
Primary Responsibilities:
– Responsible for developing protection plans, defining requirements, integration and test.
– Development and verification of system design requirements and capabilities.
– Component and system-level testing and assessment of theoretical reverse-engineering threat vectors and potential countermeasures.
– Assessment of candidate logic-bearing devices for vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors.
– Participation in component trade studies to select optimal protection solution approaches.
– Responsible for AT Subsystem hardware design and maturation of AT features.
This position requires an active DoD Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
• 3 or more years of experience working in an Agile methodology team environment, in one or more of the following areas: requirements development, system design, product design, hardware/software integration, test.
• 3 or more years of experience and/or interest with cybersecurity principles, security components, implementation, and testing
• Familiarity with computer architectures and applications
• 3 or more years of experience with computer operating systems and software programming languages
• Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Final Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This requires US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
• Experience conducting verification tests and/or formal acceptance tests.
• Familiarity with Anti-Tamper architectures, to include AT/ Secure System design and/or vulnerability assessment.
• Previous experience in the fields of Cybersecurity and/or Anti-Tamper.
• Experience working with Government agencies and customer representatives.
• Familiarity with FPGA technologies.
• Familiarity with the embedded microprocessor design.
• Strong administrative, and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $93,400 – $179,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

Pay Rate:
