Sr Embryology Specialist/Microinjectionist

We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Embryology Specialist to join the VelociGene Tech Center. Our mission is to develop innovative genetically engineered models to support Regeneron’s drug discovery efforts. The embryology specialist will work closely with colleagues to drive innovative genetic engineering approaches for generating genetically engineered animal models and advance assisted reproductive technologies to facilitate study cohort generation.

A typical day as an Embryology Specialist looks like:

• Prepares staged embryos or gametes for manipulation, introduces genetic modifications using appropriate methods, and transfers manipulated or IVF-derived embryos into recipients
• Supports cohort generation and preservation using appropriate assisted reproductive technologies.
• Maintain familiarity with current advances in transgenic and assisted reproductive technologies and literatures, and apply such knowledge toward development of new or improved technologies
• Independently implements experimental design and/or processes. May begin to design routine experiments and / or processes. Consistently follows and critically evaluates appropriate methods and protocols.

This role may be for you if:

• You possess a strong background in the practical and conceptual aspects of embryology, reproductive biology, and transgenic biology.
• You have a background in assisted reproductive technologies and gene editing technologies
• You have an enthusiasm for tackling difficult problems while interacting effectively with team members.

In order to be considered qualified for this role, you must have a BS or MS degree in molecular biology, or related field with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Experience with generating various genetically modified animal models is preferred. Experience in animal handling, and embryo transfer surgery is necessary to have. ES Cell microinjection experience desired but willing to train. Experience in pronuclear injection is nice to have.

Salary Range (annually)

$88,500.00 – $144,500.00
