Special Education Teacher (5 – 11 yrs old)

The base pay for this position is $30 to $35 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer. Responsibilities:

Develop/implement weekly lesson plans and address individual student goals.
Directly supervise teacher assistants/aides and delegate responsibilities as needed.
Ensure all policies/procedures are successfully implemented by assigned team/staff.
Perform other tasks to support the operations of the school/clinic.
Interview applicants, conduct performance reviews, and prepare written reports as needed.
Write accurate evaluations, progress reports, and draft IEP/ISFP documents in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors/Masters degree in Education/Special Education required
NY State Teacher Certification (Special Education)
1+ years of experience working with children preferred
2 years experience as a TA or 1 year as a special needs teacher preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
