As part of U.S. marketing, the Media Lab leads paid media efforts across the Biopharma group. The team partners with brands on media strategies to reach patients and healthcare professionals (HCPs). Core to this is advancing and innovating new media options, evolving our mix, and continually improving existing channels. The new Media Lab structure includes Planning and Platform roles to enable deeper brand insights and digital subject matter expertise.
The Social Director is part of our media platform specialist group. This portfolio role will be responsible for leading our Social paid media practice, upskilling capabilities, and identifying future opportunities. In addition to Social, the platform Director will also be responsible for Print.
Lead Social media process, agency resources, optimizations, and reporting
Partner with media and brand colleagues on paid Social strategies for patients and HCPs
Lead Social media strategies on Social-only initiatives
Provide subject matter expertise for internal reviews, guidelines, and training
Identify new Social platforms and innovation opportunities
Share key Social media trends and insights on portfolio Social performance
Maintain strong partnership with vendors
Lead consumer print negotiations and monitor landscape for trends/opportunities
8+ years of agency or client-side Social media experience (pharma not required)
Deep technical and strategic media expertise across all leading and emerging Social platforms
Experience leading agency teams within an agency or client-side
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based environment
Accuracy in managing complex and dynamic budgets
Strong verbal and written communications skills, and ability to translate media concepts for a wide variety of audiences
Strong project management skills, including ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
Understanding of media measurement norms, evolving data/privacy landscape, and media industry standards
Track record of Social innovation and advancement
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
