Senior Manager, Platform Engineering

We are looking for Platform Engineers who are enthusiastic about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be at the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

General Responsibilities:
– Mentor and lead a team of MQ engineers responsible for our critical IBM MQ services.
– Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
– Lead in crafting high-quality solutions that are available, resilient, and scalable.
– Stay updated with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
– Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, diversity, teamwork, and out-of-the-box thinking.

Basic Qualifications:
– High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
– 6+ years of experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing IBM WebSphere MQ.
– 4+ years of people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
– 8+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere MQ.
– 3+ years of experience with AWS.
– 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Salary Information:
– New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $195,200 – $222,800 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering.
– Salaries for other locations will be based on the pay range associated with that location.
