Senior Manager, Platform Engineering

Location: Chicago, Illinois

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving a major transformation within Capital One.

Responsibilities:

– Lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for our critical IBM MQ services.
– Collaborate with product owners to understand application capabilities and testing scenarios.
– Ensure the quality, availability, resilience, and scalability of our solutions.
– Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and contribute to the engineering community.
– Foster innovation, teamwork, diversity, and outside-of-the-box thinking.

Basic Qualifications:

– High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
– At least 6 years of experience implementing and optimizing IBM WebSphere MQ.
– At least 4 years of people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

– 8+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere MQ.
– 3+ years of experience with AWS.
– 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Salary Range: $195,200 – $222,800 for Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering in New York City (Hybrid On-Site).
