Senior Director, Software Engineering (Python) – S&P Dow Jones Indices
S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a Director, Software Engineering to be a key player in the IT application development team to execute projects for index creation and management. The candidate will develop Python applications to integrate machine learning models and develop workflows to integrate data classifications and text scoring into the index creation process. The candidate will be part of an IT team responsible for driving innovation in Thematics and Factors index methodologies and working closely with R&D teams. The candidate will be involved in innovative index development concepts such as industry classification, sentiment analysis and index rebalance algorithms.
This role requires a seasoned engineer who works effectively, both independently as well as collaboratively, in a team environment. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with either experience in or knowledge of the finance industry.

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,800 to $230,200. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
