In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in four key areas :
You’ll deeply immerse yourself in knowing your internal and/or external customer(s) needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions
You’ll be challenged to discover customer needs and inspire innovative solutions or products in light of industry trends, emerging technologies and business and customers insights

You’ll partner with Technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant and scalable technology solutions that solve material customer and business problems
You’ll be responsible to make technology investments decision by assessing opportunities for reusing Enterprise solutions or for and building new ones with extensibility & enterprise scalability in mind
You’ll influence a broad set of senior executives across the enterprise and your organization who are stakeholders or delivery partner to successfully deliver on your portfolio/product vision
You’ll establish a long-term product portfolio strategy, informed by customer and business needs, to gain alignment, secure resources and overcome impediments
You’ll attract, grow, empower, and inspire top product talent as they develop and deliver on their local product strategy
As part of the Sr. Director of Product Management, Platform Services role, you will:
Developer Enablement: Provide comprehensive documentation, tools, and resources to empower internal developers to quickly and confidently utilize enterprise platforms.
Developer Training and Support: Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and ongoing support to upskill internal developers on platform capabilities, best practices, and integration techniques.
Drive Platform Adoption: Actively promote and drive adoption of enterprise platforms among internal developers, highlighting their value proposition, benefits, use cases, and success stories.
User Feedback and Improvement: Establish feedback mechanisms to gather user insights, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancements of the platforms.
Developer Community Building: Foster a thriving developer community through forums, hackathons, and events, promoting knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation.
Talent Acquisition and Development: Build a high-performing Platform Services PM team through the hiring and onboarding of top-tier product managers.

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 8 years of experience in digital product management
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
MBA or Master’s degree
8+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum Full time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $267,300 – $305,100 for Sr. Dir, Product ManagementSan Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $283,100 – $323,100 for Sr. Dir, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
