The Program Manager (PM) will be responsible for managing multi-year engineering and manufacturing government programs. The primary responsibility of the PM is to maintain customer confidence for multiple government marine based programs.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelors degree in technical or business-related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer facing role, managing the relationship as a supplier and in the provision of technical products or components of a complex specification and to an exacting schedule.
• Demonstrated experience of program / project management, using MS Project or similar software tools.
• Must be a US citizen in order to attain US Gov’t security clearance as required.
• Defense sector background would be preferred, but not necessary.
• Detail oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills, and a straightforward, open communication style that encourages dialogue on issues and problems.

What You’ll Do

• The PM will be customer facing, focusing on building and managing multiple work plans that get the government programs back in line with customer expectations and that also aligns with Waukesha Bearings (WB) and key sub-supplier capabilities.
• Develop plans to allocate resources to ensure project schedules are maintained.
• Work with the manufacturing facility to help determine if product should be manufactured in-house or subcontracted.
• Work with sub-contractors to ensure deliveries align with program schedules.
• Support bi-weekly, quarterly and bi-annual program and technical meetings with the customer.
• Optimization of schedules and resources to meet program needs within cost constraints.
• Working with the engineering and operations leaders, constantly assess the company’s technology and capabilities, and devise strategies to leverage them.
• Assist corporate compliance department with ITAR and Export control programs.
