Want to create standout marketing campaigns and make a difference in your community? As a Marketing Associate with United Way of Central New York, you’ll do both.

This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

In this role, you will:

• Strategize, create, manage, and measure digital and traditional media marketing campaigns
• Create engaging social media posts
• Produce monthly digital marketing reports
• Design and manage the production of pledge cards, brochures, posters, and additional collateral
• Work with the CMO in conceptualizing new ways to promote United Way of Central New York
• Assist in managing a network of freelance creators and production partners

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Design, Marketing, Communication, or a related field
• Minimum of two years professional digital marketing and graphic design experience (full time or freelance) strongly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Please note: All United Way of CNY employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Skill Requirements

Highly proficient:

• MS Office Suite
• Canva
• WordPress or similar CMS
• Social media platform management (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)

Working knowledge:

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Hootsuite or similar
• email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp)
• digital photography (shoot + edit)

Familiarity with:

• CRM
• SEO/SEM
• video editing/motion graphics/audio production

Bonus points for:

• Google Analytics certification
• Copywriting and/or public relations experience
