Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the coaching, developing and leading of the Service Tools production team.
The Manufacturing Supervisor will present a clear and defined direction to the production team, drive production goals, improve and maintain productivity to maximize value and satisfaction to our customers. The Manufacturing Supervisor will work with the Production team, Planning, Operations and Engineering to insure production and quality goals are achieved. The ideal candidate has multi-year experience in a lean manufacturing environment, leading teams, strong communicator, is able to multi-task, meet ambitious targets and goals, and lead execution towards fast results.
Responsibilities:
Manage and direct team to ensure safety, quality and production goals are met
Track Production KPIs and maintain visual management boards
Oversee department training plan, progress, and cross training efforts to increase flexibility and ensure 100% coverage of all production processes
Maintain team engagement and team morale
Align the production team to meet key KPIs on Quality, Lead times and Productivity/Cost
Continuous buildup of Lean Manufacturing Methodology (Lead 5S Improvements, Visual Factory Improvements, and Changeover/Setup Reductions)
Maintain Continuous Improvement mindset within the production teams, running Kaizen events
Ensure exceptional quality and exceed customer expectations through active involvement with the team and urgent action when required
Requirements:
AAS degree with 2+ years’ experience in progressively more responsible production and management roles
Experience in leading a team in a fast paced, hands on manufacturing environment
Experience driving production KPIs and managing visual management boards
Demonstrated history or potential of developing production talent and teams
High level of integrity/accountability; honesty; treats people with respect; viewed as a role model; ability to quickly establish significant credibility, trust, and support with other levels of the organization.
Self-motivated to achieve and promote high levels of performance.
Preferred:
Experience in Manufacturing environments
Working knowledge of SAP ERP, information systems
Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or 14001 in a lean manufacturing environment
