Position: Back End Software Engineering Manager
Location: McLean, Virginia, United States of America
Job Summary:

We are looking for a Back End Software Engineering Manager who is excited about leveraging data and emerging technologies to drive transformation within our company.
Responsibilities:
– Lead a team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full stack systems to create solutions that meet regulatory needs
– Stay updated on technology trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor other engineers
– Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially
– Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, as well as AWS tools and services
Basic Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree
– At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
– At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
– At least 2 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
– Master’s Degree
– 7+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
– 2+ years of experience with AWS, GPC, Azure, or another cloud service
– 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
– 5+ years of people management experience
– 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
Salary Range:
– New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $197,400 – $225,300
