Manager, Data Engineering (Python, AWS, Airflow, Snowflake)

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of passionate data engineers at Capital One. Together, we will create the next generation of data products and capabilities. Job Responsibilities:

Build data pipeline frameworks to automate the delivery of high-volume and real-time data

Create data APIs and delivery services to support operational and analytical applications

Transform complex analytical models into scalable, production-ready solutions

Integrate and deploy code into on-premise and cloud environments

Develop applications using modern technologies like Python, SQL, and NoSQL

Collaborate with Product Owners and customers in an agile environment

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

At least 6 years of experience in application development

At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies

At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

At least 2 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree

7+ years of experience in application development (Python, SQL, Scala, or Java)

4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

4+ years of experience with distributed data tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.)

4+ years of experience with real-time data and streaming applications

4+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (Mongo, Cassandra)

4+ years of experience with data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake)

4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting

4+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices

The salary range for this role is $197,400 – $225,300 per year for Manager, Data Engineering in New York City. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on agreed-upon hours.
