Job Description

Manager, Data Engineering (Python, AWS, Airflow, Snowflake) (Hybrid)

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team of data engineers at Capital One. As a data engineer, you will be part of creating the next generation of data products and capabilities.

Responsibilities:
– Build data pipeline frameworks to automate high-volume and real-time data delivery.
– Build data APIs and data delivery services for operational and analytical applications.
– Transform complex analytical models into scalable solutions.
– Continuously integrate and ship code into on premise and cloud environments.
– Develop applications using modern technologies like Scala, Spark, Postgres, Angular JS, and NoSQL.
– Collaborate with Product Owners and customers to deliver data products.

Basic Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree.
– At least 6 years of application development experience.
– At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
– At least 1 year of cloud computing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
– Master’s Degree.
– 7+ years of application development experience.
– 4+ years of experience with a public cloud.
– 4+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools.
– 4+ years of experience working on real-time data and streaming applications.
– 4+ years of experience with NoSQL implementation.
– 4+ years of data warehousing experience.
– 4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting.
– 4+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.

Location: New York City (Hybrid On-Site)

Salary Range: $197,400 – $225,300 for Manager, Data Engineering
