BASIC PURPOSE
Responsible for helping track the upkeep and maintenance of warehouse and Fleet-related equipment (i.e. pallet jacks, highlifts, forklifts, batteries, Tractor and trailers, etc). This keeps day, night warehouse and transportation operations functional to ensure efficient shipping and receiving of product.
SHIFT: Monday – Friday. 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
PAY: $24+ depending on experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tracking preventive maintenance in Fleet and Facilities
Review any equipment reports submitted by warehouse associates and
transportation, record actions/repairs taken, and maintains a repair log per USF policy.
Ordering parts for Fleet and Facilities
Maintaining the Maximo system
Maintain asset files in Maximo as well as on paper where applicable.
Enters maintenance-related data into the Maximo system daily/as needed. Verifies the information entered by the techs.
Inventory levels and accuracy (shrinkage)
Maintains parts inventory including cycle counting parts (audit)
Receives, labels, stocks parts.
Processing reports as needed and on a cadence.
Track and enter purchase orders for accuracy and proper payment for fleet and facilities
Review any equipment reports submitted by warehouse associates, record actions/repairs taken, and maintains a repair log per USF policy.
Comply with all USF and government guidelines regarding safety when working on equipment (i.e. Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding and required documentation, safe work environment, etc.
Responsible for company tools and maintenance equipment used in performance of job duties, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area.
If authorized, may purchase tools and other equipment needs from local vendors to perform required duties
Performs light maintenance duties as assigned (i.e. basic equipment repairs,etc.)
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Warehouse personnel and supervisory staff, Operations support, Maintenance and Sanitation personnel
External: Outside vendors
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training: High School education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.
Related Experience: A minimum of six months previous mechanic or fleet operations experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
Some technical knowledge regarding vehicle/facility maintenance and repair (preferred)
The ideal candidate may have parts room, inventory management, purchasing or state DMV experience.
Forklift and pallet jack certification a plus or the desire to learn.
Must have the desire and ability to learn and utilize US Foods software.
Computer proficiency- MS Office, data entry, Asset Management software (Maximo) and email.
Ability to multitask and be organized.
Ability to prioritize and plans work activities with speed and accuracy.
Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions.
Self-directed and self-motivated with minimal supervision.
