Maintenance – Electrician – 2nd Shift

Position Description Job SummaryWe are hiring a self-motivated Maintenance Electrician to work within our Maintenance Team. The primary focus of this position is to maintain and repair electrial equipment at the two plant sites in Hoosick Falls. Duties in this position are many and varied, requiring analysis and use of strong troubleshooting skills. Specific duties for this position include performing preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, basic mechanical and building repairs and communication withstaff.Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Millwright or electrical licensing is a plus. At least 1 year previous related experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven ability to troubleshoot production equipment both electrically and mechanically required. College degree in Industrial Technology or Maintenance is preferred. Must be familiar with basic hand tools and use the appropriate tool for the job. Knowledge in the use of electronic and mechanical measuring equipment preferred. E.g. multimeter, vernier caliper, micrometer etc May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Respirator usage may be required. Must complete PFT and be fit tested for respirator use. Will be required to wear applicable PPE. Ability to work off shifts and occasional over-time required.Additional DescriptionDuties include but are not limited to: Maintain all existing electronic control equipment and make recommendations for acquisition of new equipment. Install equipment, including running conduit and pulling wire. Provide emergency repairs for all electronically oriented electro-mechanical equipment. Maintain calibration schedule for electronic equipment. Coordinate set-up and use of small instrument test lab and operate all associated lab equipment. Repair and maintain non-electrical equipment. Draw electrical diagrams, document corrective actions in machine log book. Actively partake in Continuous Improvement initiatives including process improvement, equipment upgrades etc. Perform other duties within the Maintenance department or other areas as assigned. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
