Line Helper/Line Worker

The Village of Rouses Point is seeking a full-time worker for our electric department. This is a non-competitive civil service position involving installing and maintaining overhead and underground electric distribution lines, and assisting in other public works activities. Classification as helper or worker depends on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency diploma (helper); and two (2) years experience (worker) working on a power distribution system. This is a union position with state retirement benefits; paid vacation, holidays, sick and personal time; health, vision, and dental insurance. Education, certification and promotion opportunities.

Salary: $16.48/hour helper; $26.01/hour worker.
