Duties: Leverage datasets to develop bespoke models and processes using various data science methodologies such as machine learning, deep learning, and statistical analysis. Utilize data in new innovative ways to assist in constructing client-focused products leading to actionable intelligence for business and government decision-makers, with a strong emphasis on leveraging unstructured data, such as text data, and real-time data streams to dynamically update predictive outputs. Conduct research, feasibility studies, and the creation of proof-of-concept demonstrations to illustrate specific technologies and algorithms as well as robust operational systems than can be put into production. Assess data synergies and develop models or algorithms for identifying important information in our data in conjunction with various external datasets. Leverage unstructured data and real-time data streams to dynamically adjust predictive outcomes. Utilize data science experience to share knowledge and provide advice and feedback to junior data scientists and data science interns. Requires a minimum of a Masters degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in related occupation(s). Requires 3 years of experience with: i) identifying valuable data sources, including structured and unstructured data; ii) building new risk data products; iii) programming and object-oriented design using Python; iv) working with statistical and predictive modelling; and v) working with big data sets involving 100m+ data points. 40 hours/week, $128,003 $130,000 per year.
