We’re based in New York City’s Soho neighborhood with a microfactory in Brooklyn and a manufacturing R lab in San Francisco’s Dogpatch neighborhood.About the Role: To improve the profitability of CreateMe Technologies LLC by working as a direct link with the Production and Management Team by maintaining all equipment and plant running at the highest efficiency levels. In this role, you’ll keep all equipment on a disciplined and consistent maintenance program to minimize breakdowns and production interruptions or stoppages.Additional Responsibilities: Set up, diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair computerized flatbed knitting machines, steamers, and industrial sewing machinesAssist in the development and implementation of a professional and disciplined maintenance program for all running equipment/machinery in the factory. Exercise preventive maintenance techniquesAssist and/or trouble and repair washing machines, dryers, air compressor, and other equipment in the facilityMaintain a daily log of processing information and changes to each knitting machineCommunicate with Knit Manager on knitting machine problems and knitting machine needsCross trained to set up all flatbed machines for all yarn typesInteract with Production and Product Development to assure existing and new product lines meet product specificationsWork directly with the Lean Process Engineer ensuring the realization of designed products into productionTechnical Support – Analyze issues and/or develop programs to resolve problems with input from Lean Process Engineers and production personnel where needed within the knitting room operation and other areas in troubleshooting issues outside their normal job scopeNew Product Realization – Responsible for activities associated with product startup and product specifications.
