Our client one of Long Islands top companies is seeking an Internal Audit- Compliance Manager to join its growing accounting team. The company offers one of the best benefits packages on Long Island, a hybrid work environment and an opportunity for career advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Key member of the Internal Audit Department
• Work closely with senior management in planning audit strategy to be deployed throughout the company.
• Development and maintenance of the SOX framework as well as for various initiatives, including ad hoc projects designed to enhance the Company’s financial reporting framework.
• Annual review of process documentation.
• Annual risk assessment, mapping and scoping process.
• Development of testing templates, annual controls testing, independent testing, and peer review of testing
• Evaluation and optimization of key controls over financial reporting.
• Performance of walkthroughs with outside partner audit firms and assessment of the design of internal controls.
• Development of SOX-related training company-wide.
• Present senior management with audit finding and other projects as required.
• Create strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels throughout the whole organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least 5+ years’ experience in internal or external auditing, SOX compliance practices.
• Experience in Banking, Brokerage, Financial Services, Fin Tech or Real Estate would be a plus but not required.
• Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, and/or MBA are a plus.
• Public Accounting experience strongly preferred.

Pay:$100,000.00 – $130,000.00
