The Head of Commercial Strategy for Payouts is responsible for developing and leading the delivery of a multi-year growth strategy and go-to-market approach.
This key leader will report to the GM of Payouts and collaborate directly with senior members of the product, engineering, finance, legal, sales, corporate strategy, and analytics teams to achieve the key objectives for the Payouts business. The ideal candidate will be accountable for establishing financial and operating goals and must be able to influence other stakeholders, customers, and senior leaders toward those goals.
Meet our Team:
The Payouts team is responsible for managing two products: PayPal Payouts (formerly Masspay ) and Hyperwallet . Our team consists of 10 product managers distributed across Canada, US an Europe, with a corresponding engineering team of 40 located across US, Canada, and India. This is a highly tenured team with many years (in some cases 10 years) of working together as teammates.
Your day-to-day:
In your day-to-day you will:
Partner closely with the GM of Payouts and leadership team to develop the commercial strategy and growth plan
Investigate data around our existing products and review where the largest opportunities may be to grow and expand our target audiences, cross-functionally deliver new features, and monitor commercial success.
Be the voice of the customer’s needs by spending time with customers, sales, and support, and by synthesizing their feedback and market trends.
Work across the organization to collaboratively define growth targets and proactively monitor commercial performance versus projections.
Identify unique problems and opportunities with key clients and the value drivers of the Payouts solution that meet those needs
Assess competitive landscape and stay informed of latest trends.
Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
Drive the daily monitoring of business performance across the organization.
Leverage analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to influence roadmap decisions and prioritization.
What do you need to bring:
8+ years of proven success in complex, high scale, operating roles in enterprise product.
Possesses a deep understanding of GTM commercial strategies.
A leader with an impact-oriented mindset who thrives in ambiguous situations.
Strong business acumen and commercial insights to validate and inform future opportunities.
Ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution.
Proven ability to foster a data-driven culture with the requisite leadership, communication and influencing skills necessary to drive results
Experience with financial technology products and payments highly preferred.
