RGC is currently conducting one of the largest genetics sequencing efforts in the world. We are seeking a Genetic Privacy Lawyer, reporting to and assisting Regeneron’s Chief Privacy Officer, to ensure full compliance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations, with an additional focus of genetic privacy concerns across Regeneron.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE:
A Law degree, Masters’ degree in data privacy and/or a focus on bioethics or genomics highly preferred; lAPP Certifications particularly CIPP/US and CIPP/E a plus; At least 5 years’ experience in the privacy profession, with at least 3 years working in or with genetics testing/genomic analysis, DNA sequencing, big data genomics, pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology companies on data privacy related activities including those related to genetics, precision medicine and study subject personal data; Knowledge of legal, regulatory, compliance and business environment for the pharmaceutical research industry; In-depth knowledge of US federal and state statutes and regulations regarding genetic information; In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulation and related genetics, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry; Experience in contract drafting/review and third-party negotiating skills, preferred.
