About the role:

We’re seeking a founding engineer to help build the core MVP of our platform alongside the 2-person founding team. You’ll own the development and implementation of our initial products, spending your time focused on product engineering and product delivery. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to get exposure to all parts of building a startup and contribute in many different ways outside of your core responsibilities. Responsibilities:

• Work with our CEO, CTO, and industry advisors to help design and build our core MVP, including all backend and frontend architecture and data models
• Write code for systems across the entire stack (with focus on the backend)
• Create and maintain standards for code health and quality
• Join user feedback calls to develop and share opinions about our roadmap and technical requirements
• Help us build the team, establish our culture, and iterate on our products

Qualifications:

• Solid professional software development experience (2+ years)
• Expert with at least one object-oriented programming language (java, Python preferred)
• Experience with REST APIs, databases, and cloud services (AWS or GCP preferred)
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern JS framework (React preferred)
• Some experience with infrastructure, DevOps, and tooling
• Some experience with a modern web framework (NestJS, Django, Rails, etc.)
• Some experience writing unit, integration, E2E tests
• Strong computer science fundamentals (Computer Science Degree preferred)
• Strong desire for continued learning and sharing of knowledge
