OverviewFreelance Brand Consistency Specialist Overview The Freelance Brand Consistency Specialist (BCS) is critical to ensuring alignment in messaging, style, art elements, and fair balance across brand tactics. The BCS works closely with all team members to help track, communicate, and implement client and PRC direction, with the ultimate goal of ensuring consistency across the brand.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesReview pieces prior to Med/Legal submissions vs core documents for consistency of brand messaging; style; fair balance usage and placement; and Regulatory requirements, ensuring client direction with brand implications is queried across all appropriate piecesDevelop and maintain a digital library of overarching updates for all indications in order to track current creative, claims, charts, graphs, and tactic elements for use in consistency reviewsMaintain and update brand fair balance documents, PIs, and style guides on shared team serverAttend brand start-up and status meetings to track and communicate workload and dependencies across indicationsAttend live Med/Legal reviews (or review offline comments) to help team identify comments that have brand implicationsDocument pertinent information discussed in team, client, and post-Med/Legal review meetings and indication-specific consistency reviews that may have wider implications, and develop system for communicating to teamsSchedule and lead consistency reviews for pieces that have shared messaging/data/content, and develop best practices for implementing sweeping changes, such as Annual Review changes or Label updatesPartner with PM to develop and communicate process for BCS reviewsRelay pertinent information (eg, upcoming launches) to Operations counterpartsDevelop sound working relationships with Copywriters to establish preferred mode of working together and to cement team structurePartner with Editorial Managers to maintain style sheets, outlining approved client/brand messaging, design, and fair balance (indicating how they differ or are the same across indications)Work independently with minimal supervision while communicating and collaborating with team membersEstablish direct line of communication with the brand’s Regulatory lead on client side, if possibleTake on temporary assignments for brands that request short-term help with specific projects, label updates, etc, as assigned by the Brand Consistency DirectorAdditional ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects, teams, and clientsDevelop in-depth knowledge of the brand, the client’s process/procedures for all submissions, Regulatory requirements, and FDA regulationsMaintain positive relationships with internal business group partnersRemain calm in high-pressure situationsMaintain accurate time sheetsCommunicate effectively and professionallyDemonstrate strong problem-solving skillsProject a professional, positive attitude toward peers and clientsPerform other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisorQualifications College degree-preferably English, Journalism, or Communications major3 years of editing experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical advertising agency or a medical publishing houseSuperior editing skills and knowledge of AMA styleDetail oriented and organizedHigh level of language and communication skillsProficiency in Adobe Acrobat Positive/helpful attitudeOmnicom Health Group is committed to hiring and developing exceptional talent.
