Job Title: Forklift Mechanic
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team in East Syracuse. As a Forklift Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing forklifts to ensure their optimal performance. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $24 per hour, and the work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Roles and Responsibilities:
– Perform regular maintenance and inspections on forklifts to identify any issues or potential problems.
– Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and perform necessary repairs.
– Replace faulty parts and components as needed to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the forklifts.
– Conduct routine oil changes, filter replacements, and other preventive maintenance tasks.
– Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and work performed.
– Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and complete repair tasks in a timely manner.
– Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
– Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
– High school diploma or GED equivalent.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Forklift Mechanic or in a similar role.
– Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills.
– Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
