Job Title: Food Worker

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Worker to join our team at St Lawrence College. As a Food Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food services. You will be responsible for preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and providing excellent customer service to our students and staff. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Specifications:
– Job Type: Part-time

– Pay Rate: $15.40/Hr
– Shift: Varies

Roles and Responsibilities:
– Prepare and serve food and beverages to students and staff in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste
– Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies and maintaining stock levels
– Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any concerns or special requests
– Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff
– Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and smooth operation of the food services
– Assist with cash handling and processing transactions accurately
– Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications & Skills:
– Previous experience in a similar role is an asset, but not required
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
– Excellent customer service and communication skills
– Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
– Ability to work well in a team and cooperate with colleagues
– Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus
– Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as required
