Skinos is an all new Mediteranean Restaurant / Bar opening in the W Hotel Downtown.
We are looking for a motivated Chef to join us in opening downtown NYC’s newest Greek Food & night life destination.
We have a hotel style kitchen, which is 4000 SF. Top of the line equipment, and all the resources needed for success.
Our location is a duplex with the ground floor as a bar / lounge accompanied with a RAW Bar / Sushi bar.
Our Dining room floor overlooks St. Nicholas Greek church & the freedom towers.
As our Executive Chef you will create and maintain Skinos’ menu and identity. From creativity, to menu development, to execution. You will take the lead and be the LEADER in the kitchen, along with managing all kitchen operations.
You will Hire, train, and supervise your kitchen staff.
You will directly manage, sous chefs, line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
Directing and assisting the kitchen staff in meal preparation, creation, plating and delivery.
You will work together with the restaurant managers / owners to ensure the expedition from kitchen to dining room runs smoothly.
You will be the direct line of communication with the managers/owners to ensure we are staying on top of industry trends, and operating the kitchen at maximum efficiency.
Minimum Requirements :
At least 5-7 Years of Culinary Experience with a minimum of 3 years in FINE-DINING.
3-5 years of kitchen management
Be able to work 60-90H until we are established and our restaurant is set up.
