Kinsley Power Systems is seeking an entry-level Technician to work in our Brewster, NY warehouse. The Shop Technician is primarily responsible for the overall shop organization and cleanliness while ensuring technicians have access to tools and resources required to fulfill their job duties. Additionally, the Shop Technician is responsible for inspections, reporting, and routine upkeep and repair of the entire facility and grounds while partnering with our outside vendors. Ideally, candidates will desire advancement opportunities, as this role has the potential to grow into a field service position.

Shop Technician Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Work as internal support to Field Service Technicians; including oil and coolant replenishment and used oil and coolant disposal in accordance with current state and federal regulations; work as external support to Field Service Technicians with assistance on jobs when needed
• Complete parts delivery to technicians in the field on an as-needed basis as well as assists the parts team as needed in times of increased demand or absence
• Safely conduct duties using a powered industrial truck
• Maintain a presentation-ready shop that is clean and organized
• Conduct regular facility audits and take necessary corrective actions to maintain a clean, safe and healthy work environment
• Participate as a member of the emergency response team within and outside of the company’s geographical territory, as required by business needs
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Able to achieve an OSHA10 certification or OSHA30 (as required by local jurisdiction)
• Currently holds a valid state driver’s license with the ability to meet DOT medical certification criteria
• Become certified on and operate forklifts as necessary
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a high demand atmosphere with a focus on safety
• Computer literacy
