About the Opportunity

As an Account Executive, your role is crucial in driving Contentful’s growth. You will lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to close, and play a vital role in generating new revenue opportunities and nurturing customer relationships. Working closely with our Customer Success team, you will help grow our customer base in North America.
You will be the main point of contact for both customers and prospects, identifying and developing new sales opportunities while ensuring customers achieve their business objectives with Contentful.
What to Expect
Lead the sales process, including negotiations and closing of new business opportunities ($50-500K ACV) in North America
Meet quarterly and annual sales goals by developing account strategies, managing internal and client processes, maintaining sales reports, delivering presentations to customers, and creating sales proposals
Prospect and develop new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers, becoming a trusted advisor to key decision-makers
Manage requests for information and quotes with internal and customer teams
Collaborate with Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success teams to refine and evolve our “land-and-expand” model
Understand prospects’ and customers’ digital experience challenges, aligning the value of Contentful with their needs
Work closely with Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and other teams to drive new business and retain customers
Create proposals, negotiate contracts, and meet deal-closing requirements efficiently
Collaborate with Customer Success and Marketing teams to share and implement best practices
Your compensation plan includes monthly and annual accelerators for exceeding your bookings goals
What You Need to Be Successful
4-8+ years of experience selling a technical platform
5+ years of individual quota carrying experience with a history of exceeding quota
Working knowledge of selling and positioning technical SaaS and/or PaaS platforms to customers
2+ years of experience in growing and expanding customer accounts in a SaaS and/or PaaS environment
Demonstrated ability to sell transactions of $150k+ to organizations with $1b+ in revenue, engaging VP and C-Level executives
Experience working with a partner ecosystem to land and expand customers
Experience closing deals with average selling prices (ASPs)
Ideal candidates have an understanding of sales-led growth motions and previous CMS (content management system) experience

The salary range mentioned is for potential hires in the United States. Offered salary is based on location, internal equity, market data, skills, experience, and relevant certifications.
