About the role

Reporting to the Executive Vice President / General Manager, the Director of Strategy and Planning will work cross-functionally to help support the growth agenda for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) business unit. The scope of responsibility is global in nature and will have direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own monthly C&I demand plan both for manufactured and purchased-for-resale products
• Arbitrate on tradeoff choices in capacity planning – determining which sales/production orders to fulfill in the case of capacity trade-offs at C&I factories as part of the new responsive manufacturing process
• Develop and own the sourcing and supply planning process for purchased for resale products
• Derive and own a demand plan for C&I’s full product portfolio, by incorporating business intelligence (e.g., near-term sales, market signals and drivers, and portfolio changes) to a baseline statistical forecast. In order to do this, the individual will collaborate extensively with Sales, Product Management, Lifecycle Management and Supply Chain
• Participate in the monthly Integrated Business Planning process (IBP), partnering with Supply Planning team to finalize an unconstrained demand forecast for C&I and act as C&I’s liaison in the overall IBP process
• Communicate regularly with management and other stakeholders about demand forecasts and any changes in predicted demand
• Act as central point of escalation for managing customer demand when faced with trade-offs on what orders to fulfill (e.g., due to inventory, labor constraints); collaborate with Product Management where necessary to finalize decisions
• In addition to core demand planning responsibilities for ‘white label’ products (i.e., owning the demand plan, monitoring inventory flow), act as a primary interface with the Sourcing department for order placement and supplier management
• Monitor KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy and bias, Backorders, inventory turns, raw material inventory) to identify issues, and drive improvements to the demand planning process and escalate it to C&I GM as needed
• Support development of the overall strategy for C&I to drive growth, margin expansion, and expansion while ensuring plan aligns and supports Leviton’s overall strategic direction
• Support design and/or execution of strategic initiatives; report progress and outcomes to senior management
• Support the C&I GM in evaluating potential acquisition targets and conducting diligence as needed

Qualifications

• Ability to drive end to end work streams with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication (verbal & written) & orginizational skills
• Effective working in a cross functional environment and able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and externally
• Detailed oriented, self-driven, and highly motivated
• Comfortable with numbers and able to exercise sound judgment in analyzing and recommending solutions

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance and accounting, Supply Chain, Data Science, or related fields preferred
• 6 – 10 years of experience in related roles such as strategy development and execution, pricing and finance, business planning, business development, or product management

Travel

• 10 – 15% travel expected to develop working relationship with teams in the manufacturing plants

Pay Range

Pay: $157,500.00 – $180,000.00 per year
