About the Role: As Director of Knit Sales, you’ll have the opportunity to build the B2B sales strategy and team for our new knit manufacturing initiative, generating new business opportunities and achieving / exceeding an annual sales target. You will be building the sales strategy from the ground up, so it will be about more than just driving sales it’s laying the foundation for the team to scale. You have experience in a sales or business development role and are able to independently source and manage key external relationships. You are results-oriented, extremely well-organized and passionate about the apparel industry. Additional Responsibilities: Ensure sales targets are met or exceeded Identify customer targets and develop a methodology for customer segmentation – working closely with merchandising on operational / product calendar Leverage existing relationships with Brands / Mills and develop / maintain new relationships with Brand / Mill partners Partner with leadership to develop go-to-market strategy, define resource needs and allocation Develop, hire, and lead the knit sales team as it evolves with growth and business needs Create sales approach by customer segment, document sales procedures and own the sales calendar and CRM Set cadence of OKR creation, measurement, and implementation Taking new business leads and converting them into clients Work closely with product marketing to create sales and marketing collateral Represent the voice of the customer to the software / hardware development teams, helping prioritize what customers are asking for / pain points to solve Collaborate with design, merchandising and creative on product assortment and raw material inventory positions Define and manage the development of tools, systems, and processes used by sales teams (CRM, OMS etc.) Analyze and present sales data while constantly working to maximize sales opportunities Requirements: Strong business acumen and comprehension of retail math Experience working with Apparel Brands with a domestic presence Record of meeting and exceeding sales plans Advanced sales, presentation, and negotiation skills Knowledge of knit market and competitive landscape Excellent merchandising skills Ability to work autonomously and delegate when appropriate Strong understanding of apparel product development cycle and calendars Strong relationship building skills Strong relationships with apparel brands who do domestic manufacturing Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and google suite experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Sales experience outside of wholesale accounts Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field 8+ years of experience in a fashion sales role with a minimum of 3 years of sales leadership 2+ years of merchandising, production or yarn sourcing experience is a plus Knit experience preferred Working at CreateMe: Be rewarded for your innovation through our Inventor Award and Recognition program Save for the future with our 401(k) program + match Stay healthy and happy through our comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance Take time away from the office through our Flexible Paid Time Off Be a part of a community and take part in our lunch’n learns and team outings Learn and grow through formal and informal learning opportunities At CreateMe Technologies, we value diversity and treat all employees and job applicants based on merit, qualifications, competence, and talent.
