Aon is looking for a Director, Intellectual Property and M&A Advisory (Senior IP/Patent Attorney)
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Intellectual Property Solutions team. This role can be based in the following locations: Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, New York City or Chicago.
Your impact as a Director, Intellectual Property and M&A Advisory
Aon’s Quality of Intellectual Property (QoIP) report is a revolutionary new product that articulates the value of IP and other intangible assets in M&A transactions-sell-side, buy-side, and even pre-deal. To our knowledge, it is the first product of its kind to enable: (a) M&A sellers with distinctive IP to negotiate a premium for those assets; (b) M&A buyers to uncover unarticulated business value and avoid latent IP risk; and (c) investment banks to obtain a competitive advantage in winning new deals.
The Director of QoIP Analysis will be primarily responsible for executing deals, including screening opportunities, orchestrating the collection of client information, directing and coordinating analytic operations across internal teams, writing and editing narrative portions of the report and corresponding presentations, and presenting report and presentation content to stakeholders. The Director is ultimately responsible for ensuring project and client success-while maintaining positive feedback loops with internal teams and external business partners. The best part of this job is helping great companies and innovators be more successful during one of the most important stages of the business lifecycle.
Your job will be to tell clients’ unique stories at the intersection of law/IP, technology, finance, and business. It’s a fantastic opportunity for an entrepreneur with an analytical bent and a client centric worldview. You will be backed by roughly 150 IP specialists, an advanced proprietary analytics platform, former investment bankers and heads of IP at top 5 corporations, and a broad range of Aon institutional relationships across M&A, finance, and law.
