Content Writer – IT Business Operations

The Content Writer should be a motivated, forward-thinking content writer to work with the IT Business Operations Team. This person will be responsible for creating, managing, and editing documentation in a tech and marketing focused environment.

• Generate ideas
• Generate content planning, strategy and scheduling as needed
• Create original content as needed, on deadline
• Proofread work to ensure writing is clear, concise, grammatically correct
• and reflects the correct tone for the intended audience
• Conduct interviews and research
• Adhere to the brand’s style guide and content requirements
• Develop a thorough understanding of the company and its products

Knowledge & Experience:

• Strong writing skills and 2-4 years’ experience in writing content for business
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills
• Strong interviewing skills
• Proficient in Office 365/Excel/PowerPoint (a must)
• Experienced with working with Teams and SharePoint sites.
• Experienced with creating targeted content for different audiences, including unique voice, tone, and style (storytelling)
• A degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Communications, or a related field
• Creative writing skills
• Ability to work on tight deadlines
• Attitude conducive to teamwork

Pre-Interview:

• Portfolio of recently published works (a must)

Personal Attributes:

• Self-starter who can build and foster collaborative relationships.
• Ability to learn, understand and apply new processes/technologies.
