Learn more at ampersand.tv.Location: West Orange, NJ or NYCJOB AT A GLANCE:Ampersand is seeking a Cloud Engineer in support of Ampersand cloud operations and migration initiatives. Position will provide operational input and support for the operations, maintenance, and refinement of Ampersand’s Enterprise Cloud environment, execution support for migrating new and legacy Ampersand applications and services to cloud computing and continuous improvement of Ampersand’s IT infrastructure. This includes working with development and database teams to understand application and infrastructure current state. Leading team working sessions to identify, categorize, prioritize and analyze data and information to work into cloud migration action plans. Working with the larger project teams to migrate legacy applications to a cloud platform\. The Cloud Engineer must have expertise with Cloud Service Providers including Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services.HOW YOU’LL BE CONTRIBUTING: Provide operations and migration services that enable Ampersand to tailor the availability and delivery of cloud computing services based on business and technical requirements.Utilize Ampersand Enterprise Cloud Tools, CSP native portals and tools, and/or other tools necessary to provide operations and migration support.Provide inputs to senior IT management, which includes operating processes and procedures, and which has the goal of continuously improving the cloud program, technical, and operational framework required to effectively and efficiently deliver and manage cloud computing capabilities.Upgrade, install, configure monitoring solution for AWS/Azure for Windows and Linux servers.Maintain gold images.Maintain cloud network configurations Run Books.Responsible for reporting on current infrastructure status, and planning for future usage.Automate the management and enforcement of policies.Advise on cost efficiency for future usage and cost optimization for current infrastructure.Work with Network Operations team to secure proper bandwidth and integration with Ampersand owned and operated datacenters.Work with engineering team to provide support for on-premise systems including network and storage.WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE: 6 years of Technology Support and Build experienceBachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required (10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)Extensive experience with implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environmentSubject matter expertise with Ampersand Cloud Service Providers which currently include Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web ServicesAdditional Minimum Qualifications:A minimum of 3 years of cloud experience with AWS and AzureExtensive experience implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environmentExperience writing technical documentation, especially in relation to Cloud architectureSignificant hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web ServicesExperience with network and/or systems administration in Linux/Unix and Windows environmentsCandidates that do not meet the minimum qualifications will not be considered.
