Kimco is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to play a critical role in safeguarding the company’s sensitive information, intellectual property, and customer data. Reporting to the CEO, the CISO is responsible for developing and implementing robust information security strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, and proactively identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
Requirements:
Seasoned professional with vast relevant experience in the information security industry including a deep understanding of financial technology, regulatory compliance, infrastructure and best practice standards, and a track record of successfully leading information security initiatives in a high-growth environment
Able to build and maintain productive relationships with senior executives and management, influence effectively, and gain buy-in for ideas
Exceptional communication and leadership skills to engage with and influence the culture and perception of business leaders across the organization
Track record of previously faced challenging situations
Experience as a hands-on and technical chief information security officer with direct experience developing security functions, mitigating critical security risks, and implementing security technologies, education, and policies
Proven track record of driving high performance in their current team
Experience recruiting, building, and leading best-in-class security teams
Proven to assess threat and vulnerability from a business and technical perspective
Ability to develop and champion appropriate, effective, and timely security architectures and solutions that support the business
Can operate within a direct environment, not afraid to voice their opinion, but equally able to collaborate and be open to other points of view
Exceptional ability to champion security internally and externally through strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication, presentation and networking skills
Strong people management and coaching skills, able to mentor and develop staff, a team player
Other Qualifications:
10+ years relevant professional experience running an information security function including analyzing and applying information security risk, risk management, and privacy practices
Proven experience working with regulatory compliance frameworks such as NIST CSF or CIS and extensive experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and allocation
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training / experience in information technology with advanced education / certifications in cybersecurity
The expected salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $300,000. The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
