A healthcare facility located in the Bronx is actively seeking a patient-oriented and driven medical professional to join their staff as their new Assistant Chief Technician. In this role, the Assistant Chief Technician will be responsible for the daily operations of MRI services.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Chief Technician will be responsible for:

• Coordination of assigned staff (Techs, RNs, PAs etc.)
• Allocation of resources (personnel and equipment) with the goal of effectively managing patient throughput in MRI
• Ensuring MRI safe environment with appropriate resources to meet the needs of patients and physicians (Radiologists, Anesthesiologists, PICU MDs)
• Ensuring staff training and proficiency in MR imaging
• Daily monitoring / clearing of Completed / Unspecified Exams report
• Daily monitoring / communicating of Qkqa report with staff
• Daily environmental rounds

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree
• 5+ years of experience
• 3 years of experience in management
• ARRT Certified
• LRT, RT, MR
• MRI proficient; ability to tech and train the staff
