What You Will Be Doing

Provide technical support to customers for the evaluation, integration and troubleshooting of our products
Provide technical support to marketing and sales in an effort to win customer designs for our products
Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams
Respond to telephone and written (RFQ’s) technical inquiries from customers
Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
Generate product data sheets, manuals and application notes
Learn new technologies to support the technical direction of new products
Understand details of our customers applications products and related technologies
Perform laboratory evaluation of our and Industry Standard products
Prepare product demonstration units to show to customers

What You Need for this Position

B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required
Proven work experience as an Applications Engineer or Technical Support Engineer
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware using oscilloscope, analyzers, DMM, reading schematics and drawings, etc.
Experience in VHDL, FPGA, Digital Design, and Board Design is required
Experience with Xilinx and Altera FPGAs and Design Tools (Vivado, Quartus II) is required
Hands-on experience with the following OS environments: Windows, Linux, VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity
3+ years experience in Applications, Software, or Design Engineering
Proficient in C programming; experience in C# is desirable
Experience with MIL-STD-1553, Fibre Channel, and ARINC-429 is highly desirable
Experience in communication protocols: PCI, PCI- Express, JTAG, SPI, I2C, RS-232/422/485, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP
Experience dealing with customers or strong desire to work with customers
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
