Stationhead is looking for a passionate Android Developer to join our growing development team. This is a full-time remote position.

About Stationhead

We are a group of 13 highly passionate people building the future of radio. We’re democratizing live audio by building a global broadcasting platform where anyone can have a radio show, play their music, and speak to the world. Stationhead is an entirely new platform for audio creators to express themselves and engage their community through the power of conversation and music. Since we launched our beta on iOS a year ago, we have had over 300k users and individual broadcasts that have reached listeners from 150 countries (that’s 149 more than Sirius/XM). With new capital in the bank and an organic userbase that loves the product, we’re looking to bring the Stationhead experience to more users and platforms.

The Role

• Iterate with our in-house Product and Development teams to build, deliver, and maintain features in our modern 100% Kotlin codebase.
• Implement delightful, responsive, and snappy UI that looks great on a wide range of Android devices.
• Advocate for engineering standards & best practices and contribute to automating processes and tooling within the project.
• Exercise ownership over features from development through QA and delivery.
• Participate in product discussions and use your experience to inform roadmap decisions within the business.

About You

• You have 2+ years of experience developing native Android apps using Kotlin.
• You have published and managed apps on the Google Play Store
• You have a thorough understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• You are an advocate for automated testing and understand its importance in delivering features reliably.
• You are naturally curious and are committed to improving your own skillsets as well as those of your team members.
