JOB TITLE:2nd Shift Warehouse ManagerREPORTS TO:Equipment DirectorPOSITION SUMMARY:GUM Studios is searching for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Manager to join our team in a fast-paced production/studio environment. We are looking for a detail-oriented person who is an adept communicator with strong client relation skills and the ability to wear many hats in a dynamic studio setting. Shift times will vary to meet the needs of clients, requiring nights and weekends.The 2nd Shift Warehouse Manager is an important part of the GUM Studios team. They are responsible for the pulling, packing, transfer and quality control checks of film and photo equipment in the warehouse for incoming and outgoing orders. They will be working hands-on with equipment and will be required to quickly and efficiently test and neatly pack and deliver equipment to a working stage. The 2nd Shift Warehouse Manager must be detail oriented with the finer details of film and photo equipment and how they function. Previous experience with film and photo equipment is required to meet the professional standards that we expect from our equipment department.Previous experience in Film EQ Rental houses or Studio EQ Departments is not required but strongly preferred.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Reports to the Equipment Director for daily tasks, coordinating with SR. Rental Manager and SR. Warehouse Manager as needed- Packs, Quality Checks, and maintains inventory in a professional and timely manner.- Problem solves any issues with equipment incoming and outgoing to the client.- Identify problems with house owned equipment and repair when necessary.- Assist clients with questions and troubleshoot concerning photo and film equipment.- Assists in breaking down, counting inventory, organizing, and transporting equipment between the EQ room and the working stage.- Facilitates the transfer of the EQ responsibilities between the night and day crewREQUIREMENTS:- Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted.- Hands on / on set experience with photography and video grip and electric strongly preferred.- Must be able to multitask and focus on the needs of many different active jobs between multiple stages.- Must be able to lead a team of employees in completing daily tasks and training new employees. Previous management experience is a plus.- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively any problems and solutions to the Equipment Director / Sr Managers.- Must be able to work with flexible hours and days of the week. We are looking for someone to mainly work afternoon / evening shifts as well as weekends when needed.This is a dynamic environment; the ideal candidate is detail-oriented, have a knowledge of all film equipment including all light, grip and photo equipment and is always on time.COMPENSATION:Job Type: Part-timePay: $23 – $27 per hour depending on experienceA full-time salaried position may be offered in the future should there be a need within GUM and an interest by you. Any full-time salaried position will be presented with evaluation metrics and a timeline for structured increases to compensation.
