Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to OB/GYN physicians, midwives, and support staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient safety standards.
Operational Management: Oversee departmental operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and policy development, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement processes and adherence to clinical guidelines.
Education and Training: Develop and implement educational programs for medical students, residents, and staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with hospital leadership to set departmental goals and contribute to the institution’s strategic initiatives, aligning with the organization’s mission and vision.
Community Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with referring physicians and community health leaders to promote the OB/GYN services offered by UMMC.

EDUCATION:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: L – Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly; requires occasional walking, standing or squatting.
